migration is a human right

"if they can get here, they have God's right to come" - Herman Melville

Welcome

This site is dedicated to opening and continuing a dialog on the subject of what is commonly called "open immigration."

Specifically, we advocate the abolition of all restrictions on the free movement of human beings. We consider this issue to be ethically parallel to the great slavery abolition movements of the 19th century.

We make no claim to be taking an unbiased approach, but believe that the almost global acceptance of the status quo -- i.e. national restrictions on the movement of people ("border controls" and "immigration policy") -- requires a less commonly-heard counter-argument.

Please be patient as this site is still in the early stages of development. With time, we will be presenting as many arguments in favor of free movement as can be identified and summarized.

Meanwhile, please take time to think about the underlying morality (and shaky ethical foundations) of immigration restrictions of all kinds, and to reflect on and to discuss this issue with an open mind with as many people as possible.
