Candid Video Footage

Last summer (2009), I had a video camera. I would sometimes bring the camera to class, and students would run the camera during class.

Here are some of the results.



This is one of my favorites. It shows truly spontaneous English story-telling that is humorous and communicative.



This speech was NOT homework. Peter asked if he could do a speech, just for "fun." The background: there was another student in the class who insisted his name was "Skywalker." Peter researched who the "real" Skywalker was, and did a speech about the Star Wars saga. I was very impressed, both because he did it completely on his own, and because as an intermediate-level 4th grader, he did a really good job putting together a coherent narrative.
